IndBioCat in Researcher’s Night 2024
The IndBioCat group, showcased the TwInn4MicroUp project at the NTUA Researcher’s Night 2024. Their exhibit highlighted the project’s innovative approach to upcycling post-consumer mixed plastic waste through the development of novel microbial consortia and enzymatic biocatalysts.
Attendees learned how TwInn4MicroUp aims to create a sustainable and economically viable process for converting plastic waste into valuable products, such as bioplastics and other bio-based materials. The IndBioCat team engaged visitors with interactive displays and discussions, explaining the project’s scientific methodology, its potential environmental impact, and its contribution to a circular economy.
The event provided a platform for the group to disseminate the project’s goals and achievements, fostering public awareness about innovative solutions for plastic waste management.
