Kick-off meeting of TwInn4MicroUp Project

We’re delighted to kick off the Twinn4MicroUp project, a groundbreaking Horizon Europe initiative aimed at addressing the global challenge of plastic pollution. With a focus on leveraging microbial technologies, this project seeks to transform plastic waste into valuable bioproducts, offering a sustainable and innovative solution to a pressing environmental issue.

The official kick-off meeting brought together all participating partners, setting the foundation for a highly collaborative and impactful project. This event was a significant milestone, as it provided an opportunity for the consortium to align on goals, define key deliverables, and strategize on how best to achieve our vision of sustainable plastic waste upcycling.

Throughout the meeting, the spotlight was on fostering collaboration, strengthening partnerships, and laying out a clear roadmap for success. Partners explored how cutting-edge microbial processes could be utilized to convert waste into materials and resources that can feed into a circular economy. With each partner bringing their expertise to the table, the discussions were dynamic, forward-looking, and driven by a shared commitment to making a difference.

The project is  funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe call HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-02 under Grant Agreement No 101159570
